Controller input stays on your device

Controller input is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded. Button presses, stick positions and trigger values are used only to draw the tester on your screen. They are never sent to a server or to analytics, and the site has no accounts or database.

What is collected

Like any website, the hosting provider may process standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

PadSignal uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and product usage. It records page views and a small number of usage events, such as a controller connecting or a drift test finishing, with summary details like the controller's model name and type, how many buttons it reports, and a drift test's rating and resting offset. It never receives your raw controller input. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

PadSignal uses Google AdSense, Google's advertising service. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visits. When ads are enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may also set cookies or use similar technologies. The tester itself does not set cookies.
